Stakeholder Update Generator - Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-03
Stakeholder Update Generator (the “app”) is provided by Aria Code. This policy explains what data the app accesses, why, how it is processed, stored and shared, how long it is kept, and how to contact us. Our security practices are described separately in our Security Policy.
What we collect and why
To generate a status update for a Jira project, the app reads:
- Work-item summaries (titles), status, due dates, priority, and assignee, for the selected project and reporting window, the inputs to the update.
It does not read descriptions, comments, attachments, or other detailed issue content. Because summaries are written by your team, a generated update may incidentally reference names contained in those summaries.
How it is processed and used
The gathered summaries and counts are sent to Atlassian’s native, platform-hosted AI(the Forge LLM service) to write the narrative. This processing stays within Atlassian’s infrastructure, there is no external AI provider, no API key, and your data does not leave Atlassian. The data is used only to produce your update; it is never used for advertising or to train models.
How it is stored
The app uses Atlassian Forge storage to keep:
- The generated update (cached per project and audience), which is derived from your work-item summaries.
- Per-project settings: chosen audience, weekly-schedule on/off, and any manual health (RAG) override.
Sharing and subprocessors
We do not sell or share your data, and the app makes no third-party network calls. The only subprocessor is Atlassian (Atlassian Forge, including its platform-hosted AI), which hosts and processes the data within its cloud on our behalf. No other third parties or subprocessors are involved.
Data retention and deletion
Cached updates and settings persist until overwritten by the next generation or until the app is uninstalled. Uninstalling deletes the app’s Forge storage data. You may request deletion of stored data by emailing us.
